2025 was all about full-circle moments for me. I learned that divine fulfillment comes from aligning with God and walking in obedience to witness His promises.
According to Eye-of-the-Beholder.org, “a full circle moment is what happens when life provides a moment of clarity about something from the past.”
What I witnessed in 2025 is a result of what I started to believe God for in 2024. So, I went into 2025, surrendering my life, ambitions, and even this platform to the Lord.
Do you remember a post I made earlier in 2025 centered around a theme I was seeing people post about? It was about how 2025 was the year to thrive. Take a moment to read through it/watch the video at your convenience: Don’t Just Thrive, Let’s Align.
I mentioned in that article/video that there is nothing wrong with the phrase thriving. I, too, am always believing God for big things. However, alignment is actually the key to thriving if we are going to do so God’s way.
As I look at my list of what God did in my life this year, I am amazed. I filled one of the sheets in my journal, and I am sure I did not write everything down. However, I made sure to write down as much as I could remember, including the major highlights and the areas where God brought confirmation for what I was believing Him for in private.
Let me share with you just a few of my 2025 highlights:
-Some opportunities came to take my podcast and blog to the next level (I plan to reveal more in time).
-As a teacher, my students and I won in the news category of our district’s film festival. This was super special because they were my first introduction to broadcast students the previous year.
-I got the chance to take my students to the news station that I once interned for (after a run-in the previous year with the anchor I met my first year of interning).
-Grew in my faith and encouraged others through speaking engagements.
-I recorded a video challenging a social media trend, which set me up to become a YouTube Partner.
-I pushed through my fears to learn the basics of swimming.
-And I got to travel with my sister (Book Festival, Houston Texans Game, and Women’s Conferences).
In this snapshot of what I have seen God do this year, it reminds me that God truly is faithful and always ready to reward His children if we do not faint along this journey. For the Bible tells us, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not” (Galatians 6:9).
Not only does God’s favor unlock doors, but He uses everything in our lives to prepare us for specific places and times along this journey.
I realize that much of what I experienced in 2025 came full circle because of positioning. Prior positioning in the previous years was the setup God used to align me with where He was going to place me.
You may recall that I mentioned before how one of the hardest things about alignment is timing. God tested me a lot in 2025 in the area of obedience.
Obedience for me was writing a blog if the Lord instructed me. It also looked like picking up the phone and pressing record instead of waiting until I was at home at my desk to record with my podcast equipment. Sometimes I wondered if I was rambling LOL, because I did not waste time trying to write out a script as I do for podcasting. I had to rely on the Holy Spirit.
In 2024, I thought that hopping on some of the latest trends or mapping out a more consistent strategy would lead to followers or boost my content. However, when I would attempt some of these trends, it just did not feel like me. So, I kind of just hit pause.
Going into 2025, I decided that instead of chasing the algorithm, I would give my platform back to the Lord and start walking in obedience.
As I started to act upon the Holy Spirit’s prompting, I began to see results. Earlier in the year, I wrestled with the Lord on expanding the reach of my platform. I am grateful for the support of those who know me personally. However, I started to desire for the messages that God was giving me to also expand to those outside of my region or immediate circle. And God showed up and showed out!
I went from having about 30 subscribers on YouTube to just a little over 2,000. And though I am grateful for the number of subscribers….I am more grateful that I obeyed and trusted God.
So, like many people this year, I have witnessed God being the ultimate promise keeper. I also got to see His faithfulness as I let go of my will. As the Bible says, “Now unto Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,” (Ephesians 3:20).
The things we go through are never coincidences, but merely God always moving and positioning us. BUT we must walk in obedience first. Thank God for His Spirit leading and guiding us. And thank God for His Power, to help us accomplish what He sets before us. And then, when we look back and begin to recap the year, we will realize and remember that God was orchestrating every intentional move in our lives.
