A moment along my journey reminded me of when Jesus rebuked Peter because he became a hindrance to Him. And when the moment happened, I knew it was nothing personal. In fact, I knew it was coming from a place of love.
According to Merriam Webster, a hindrance is defined as a person, thing, or action that makes progress, movement, or an activity more difficult. Can you identify what is hindering you from being about the mission God set before you?
In the video below, I look at the hindrances Paul faced and how Peter unintentionally became a hindrance. We will talk about how you must:
- Evaluate if are you emotionally driven or being spirit led.
- Check your flesh– what is feeding it? Culture or the Word of God?
- Remember as you advance, there will be roadblocks.
- Identify that there are time when your own flaws can get in the way of progress.
- Realize we can become a hindrance when we do not want to let go and align with what God said is next.
