As we were preparing to enter this year, I remember asking the Lord what this year would look like and the Lord answered, “different.” I didn’t know what that really meant because frankly every year is different and carries a different meaning with it. However, as we have been going along this year, I started to feel in my spirit that if you want different this year, you will have to move different to receive what you are asking of the Lord.
Think about Hannah. In 1 Samuel 1:9, we see that Hannah is pouring out her heart before the Lord in such a way that it is mistaken that she is drunk. She offered up a sacrificial prayer that led to God moving on her behalf.
Question for you- Even without knowing all the pieces, can you sense God doing something different in this season? I’ve talked about thinking ahead before and even moving forward, but moving differently than you have before can essentially unlock some things if you are willing to align with God and seek Him in a way you have not before.
